Leadership Professional Development for School Improvement
Description
Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis and the Department of Public Instruction have partnered to provide technical assistance, professional development, and support to principals and school leadership teams for school improvement to enhance teaching and learning. The work entails three main, interrelated action steps. First off, leadership development for principals and leadership teams was provided. Second, instructional coaching for improving student achievement for all students was taught. And network of support for targeted schools were created. Priority is given to Title 1 schools that have missed AYP.
Outcomes
Increased instructional leadership capacity for administrators and teacher leaders.
