Independent Laboratory Access for the Blind
The UW-Madison Institute for Chemical Education partners with Pennsylvania State University and Truman State University to develop independence in students who are blind or visually impaired. The Independent Laboratory Access for the Blind project aims to develop tools and techniques to make science more accessible to these students. This project is supported by the National Science Foundation.
Outcomes
The development of accessible tools, science curriculum and research on the best practices for teaching students with visual disabilities.
