The team comprises people who work in the areas of civic engagement, community building for diverse populations, community health, and relationship violence/sexual assault prevention. Examples of civic engagement activities the team has conducted include assisting students to interact with neighborhood associates, discussions of hot topics among service learning students, faculty and community members, the study of activists from Madison and Milwaukee regarding freedom, voting, civil rights, community organizing, civic engagement and individual transformation, and encouraging concern for ethical issues and the Wisconsin Idea in their careers.
